I do not know of any initiating cause for any of these things. As of lately, I have just opened the door and closed it and it prints, without doing anything to see if the carrier is stuck or if there is paper in the machine. The head is not stuck, there is no paper in the machine printing area. Several times I have received an error that the printer head is stuck and the instructions are to open the cartridge door and remove the stuck paper. If I have two documents back to back it does the same thing between documents.Ģ.
You normally hear the pen cartridge move a couple times to verify the pens are working properly, now it seems to do that for several minutes (3-4) and then it prints. I have no power strip, it is plugged directly into the wall outlet.ġ. Subsequently for the next 2 days I got a message saying that you should not use a power strip and to shut the printer down normally vs turning the power strip off.
